Project Proposal for the Construction of an Old Age Home

Serving Humanity with Love, Care, and Dignity

1. Introduction

With the divine blessings of Sriom Adisakthiyendra Swamigal, the trust has been continuously serving the community through its various social, educational, and healthcare initiatives. Extending its mission of compassion, the trust now proposes the construction of a dedicated Old Age Home to provide care, shelter, and dignity to destitute and abandoned elders.

The proposed facility will initially accommodate 50 senior citizens, offering them not just a home, but a place filled with love, security, and spiritual peace.

2. Background and Need for the Project

In today’s fast-paced world, many elderly individuals are left alone — without family, financial support, or emotional care. Rural and low-income elders often suffer silently due to lack of shelter, healthcare, and companionship.

At present, nearby villages and semi-urban regions around the trust lack proper residential facilities for the aged. There is an urgent need for a safe and nurturing home where elders can live with comfort, access medical care, and find emotional support in their golden years.

Recognizing this pressing need, Sriom Adisakthiyendra Swamigal Trust envisions building a well-equipped Old Age Home that will serve as a sanctuary of care, comfort, and compassion.

3. Project Objectives

  • 🎯 To provide free or subsidized shelter for abandoned and needy elders.
  • 🎯 To ensure medical care, nutritious food, and daily support for the residents.
  • 🎯 To create a peaceful and spiritual environment that nurtures emotional wellbeing.
  • 🎯 To promote dignity, respect, and companionship among elders.
  • 🎯 To offer palliative and end-of-life care for those in need.

4. Project Description

The proposed Old Age Home will be constructed within the premises or nearby land owned by SRIOM Adisakthiyendra Swamigal Trust. The facility will be a single or double-storey building, designed to accommodate 50 residents with proper care facilities.

  • Common prayer and meditation hall
  • Visiting doctor’s room and medical care unit
  • Physiotherapy and wellness area
  • Garden and walking pathway for recreation
  • Administrative and staff quarters
  • Library and indoor activity space

The architecture will emphasize safety, cleanliness, natural lighting, and accessibility, ensuring elders live in comfort and dignity.
